Fishing
Time on the water. Stronger together.
Forged by Service. Strengthened by Adventure.
Our Mission
Wild Blue Veterans Project brings honorably discharged U.S. veterans—including disabled veterans—together through outdoor adventure, fellowship, education, and shared experiences on land and water. Depending on the trip, that may mean fishing, diving, snorkeling, boating, exploring on land, or simply spending time with people who understand where you’ve been. Whatever the adventure, the goal is the same: real connection, lasting friendships, and something positive to carry forward.

What We Do
We use outdoor adventure and shared experiences on land and water to bring veterans together, build connections, and create positive, lasting change.
Time on the water. Stronger together.
Explore. Discover. Heal.
New places. New perspectives.
Brothers and sisters. For life.
Land, water, and everything beyond.

The Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are where our flagship program begins. Based in Marathon, it will bring veterans from across the country together for unforgettable experiences on and around the water. Depending on the trip, that may include offshore fishing, snorkeling, diving, reef days, land-based adventures, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy being around other veterans. It’s hard to imagine a better place to reconnect, try something new, and make memories together.
We’ll do everything we reasonably can to make the planned activities happen, but weather, water conditions, availability, and safety can change the schedule. Not every trip will include every activity, and every experience will be a little different. If plans have to change, we’ll work hard to make sure something worthwhile takes their place.
Explore The Florida KeysWho We Serve
If you honorably served in the U.S. military and are at least 21 years old, you’re welcome to apply. We serve veterans nationwide from every branch and era of service, including National Guard and Reserve veterans.
Veterans of all abilities—including disabled veterans—belong here. We’re interested in what you want to experience, what you’re curious to try, and what you bring to the group. If there’s a way to help you participate more fully, we’ll have that conversation with you privately and respectfully as a normal part of planning the experience.
Wild Blue Veterans Project is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense or any Military Service.
Our Story
The Wild Blue Veterans Project was created by an Air Force veteran who wanted to give back, so he assembled a team to do just that. We know that sometimes people just need something different in their lives—a new experience, a change of scenery, or an opportunity to reconnect. Creating those opportunities is our mission.
There’s something special about being around other veterans. You don’t have to explain every story or translate every joke. The shared experience of service creates a level of trust, humor, camaraderie, and understanding that is hard to duplicate anywhere else.
That’s what we’re building through the Wild Blue Veterans Project: opportunities for veterans to get outdoors, share an adventure, build real friendships, and experience something positive together after service.
